UAE Media Council Script Approval is needed as part of the application for both ground and aerial filming permits to film in Abu Dhabi.

Timeline: 5-15 working days (subject to length of script)

GROUND FILMING PERMIT

Once UAE Media Council Script Approval has been confirmed, the next step is to apply for a Ground Filming Permit from the UAE Media Council to film in public areas.

The filming permission will be granted for the specific public location(s) listed in your application.

Filming permission for private locations is achieved by agreeing terms with the respective location owner and signing a location agreement for each private location.

Abu Dhabi Film Commission can assist with all aspects of sourcing and researching both public and private locations within Abu Dhabi.
